VIDAWASI holds successful fundraising dinner and silent auction to benefit children’s health in Peru

In a moving evening that brought together more than 500 prominent business leaders and individuals committed to children’s health in Peru, the non-profit organization VIDAWASI PERÚ held its Grand Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction in the Grand Ballroom of the Swissôtel Lima.
The charity event was held with the noble aim of raising funds to contribute to the completion of the construction of the first High-Complexity Pediatric Surgery Pavilion, which will be located in the “Virgen de VIDAWASI” Children’s Health Citadel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Urubamba, Cusco. With this, starting from the first year of implementation, VIDAWASI will be able to provide quality pediatric health services to more than 500 children daily who urgently require them, due to the deep economic and geographical gaps that still persist.

“This pavilion will change the history of specialized pediatrics outside of Lima and will allow us to provide specialized medical care to more than 500 children daily. It will be equipped for highly complex consultations with the best national and international doctors and partners who will provide teaching and training to new professionals, in addition to performing the most sophisticated surgeries to ensure that many underprivileged children, not only from Cusco but also from different regions of the country, receive dignified and timely care,” said Jesús Dongo, President and Founder of VIDAWASI.
