From June 5 to 9, the Plaza Yanahuara Convention Center, located in Urubamba, Cusco, hosted delegations from the 21 member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), within the framework of the 12th Tourism Ministerial Meeting (TMM) and its related events.
Under the theme “Innovative Pathways to Sustainable Tourism Growth”, this international meeting brought together ministers and representatives from the tourism sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the tourism industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

- Formalization of tourism MSMEs, with a focus on women, youth and rural communities.
- Digital transformation as a tool to improve the competitiveness and accessibility of tourism.
- Creative economies as a driver of unique tourist experiences, highlighted in the workshop “Impact of creative economies on the future of tourism”.
- Technical visits to Machu Picchu and cultural fairs that showcased the richness of the Sacred Valley.
Holding this event in Plaza Yanahuara reaffirms its position as a strategic space for the development of high-level international meetings, which promote dialogue, cooperation and sustainable growth in key sectors such as tourism.
